LONG LIVE THE LES

Les Paul, 1915 - 2009
"I have younger friends who don't work, and they aren't doing so well. My secret is to keep going, keep working."
"I wanted something very dense, something that would sustain long and more pieces of wood that would be soft, sweet, for more of a mellow sound."

One of his last interviews

Body Art

This was a recent body paint photoshoot I had. I love this art!! I love being a part of the art, becoming the art. Collaborating your ideas with the painters ideas, and with the photographers ideas-- its a masterpiece that not any of us could have done alone.

Art by my friends- Trystan Dezmain

More by Trystan!!!!

I really wonder what it would be like to step foot in Trystans mind. His pieces are so out of the blue- I bet walking in his brain would be like an amusement park with no end. it just keeps going and going and the activities you would participate in are wild. tons of rollercoasters, and weird creatures walking around.

anyways, keep it up Tritty! like what you are doing. stick it to the man, man.

you may say that i'm a dreamer, but i'm not the only one.

website- the way media should be

the way media should be

this is an example of how media should be, which is not how it is now. i don't know how all you feel about tv media now a days, i think its all a waste of time, save a few shows here and there. most isnt really doing anything for anyone. its all repetitive and bland and lame.

its all the stupid reality tv shows that we know are all models and aspiring actors are applying to. its fake. its not reality tv. its a bunch of 'pretty people' that think its the only way they can get anywhere in life. as a model myself, i see casting calls all the time for things like "the worlds ugliest husband" and "teens with sexy moms apply for casting for new reality tv show." no one cares about your ugly husband or sexy mom. and

the only things i ever look for in castings are wierd things like, "looking for magicians assistant" or "blonde type princess type for entertainer at childrens parties." see in doing that, i am learning how to make balloon art, paint faces, and entertain a group of the next generation to come! so if i can make them happy as kids, then they will be happier loving adults. thats a stretch, i know, but really... i want to have a good impact on children and people. i am a pleaser and a giver... and whats better than getting paid to paint!! each childs face is a new canvas! its amazing.

article- stop drawing anime

This is an article about the right way to learn about art and how you become your style, not copy a style. one must start from the beginning: learn from life before abstracting your work. follow the same path as the great artists, don't copy them. let their path guide you into your own style, which you will find if you do it the right way.

as for me, i have been drawing and sketching my whole life. before i was in art classes in grade school, i already had a sketch book. i was board of drawing make believe bunnies that didn't quite resemble the real thing, so i started drawing my hands, my feet, my legs, my arms, my lower half of my body in my bed, the lower half of my body in my bed with the view from my eyes as i pan around the room.

a progression. a composition of pieces. you start simple, and make it more complex... or you take the complex, and make it simple--- which is harder in a sense, because how much can you take away before losing what it is exactly?

but this article is neat and i think any artist that is stuck should read it.
